That's why it's a *challenge*. Not everyone can do it, but some can. If you think it's a boasting thing, that's your perogative. Just remember that not everyone views things the way you do.
Oh, and you aren't correct on the dp affecting the ability to res. You're on the right track, though...

Oh, that's another good attempt a ranger tried. It bumped up my hp enough that the vamp weapon didn't kill me. So how did I kill myself there? (Hints: I didn't use any monk spells, and monsters did no damage to me).

Too easy...even with no /me or /n.
Bring 5 Sup Runes (not vigor) in extra armor. Weapon slot to swith too would be a Vamp 1 handed weapon, and the -50 cesta just for show.
Signal for them to set you up with Enchants/what not. You swith Armors to the sup rune armor.
Say Go once all their enchants are up. Cast CoP which immediently puts your health back to 1 hp (cause vital blessing, etc would be stripped), and you'd immediently die because of vamp degen taking the 1 hp - no time for them to even react. The monks could technically have a quick enough reaction with a 1/4 sec cast time spell to catch you before the vamp could get you (at ~1/2 sec). So you can bring some insurance in other spells. Like Infuse health.
Upon being rezzed, you'd immediently die again.
Fertile Season (the +health spriit you were refering too) would be your only potential problem. Maybe symbiosis if they recast a enchant in time. But even then - I could see you pulling through in 15 secs. Usually with use of a pet and Sym. Bond (send lvl1 pet to nearest enemy, and watch yourself take like 1billion dmg cause of your pets armor being so low).

You're right, Former Ruling. But Epinephrine got it right earlier.
The last question on the table is how I dealt with the +hp spirit. That's not an enchantment.

In case you missed it, I was defending you, not attacking you Notice the clever use of the quote button in that previous reply?
Edit: Oops, I did forget the quote button, but I was responding to the person above me, not to you.

@Former Ruling -- I'm not sure who these "ranger saccers" are that you speak of, but this build would work with any profession. I also see that you edited your post after I made mine to include the spirit part. Re: your edit, yes, that's one way that it could be done. But I can kill my char that has fertile season on him in less than 15 seconds without ever getting hit by a monster.
So there's still a question on the table: without using pets, how can a char with fertile season on them kill themselves without engaging in a battle?

@Carinae - Shame is a Me spell, and is cast on monsters (not allies). Malign Intervention is a Necro spell, and also can only be cast on monsters (not allies). My char is a R/Mo13.
I wonder what would happen if a necro brought their hp down to 1 and did some kind of sac spell (awaken the blood, demonic flesh, etc)? I think because it works in percentages, a necro would have to cast a few sac spells before dying. (1 health, sac 20% = .8 health, sac 10% = .7 health, etc). Kinda like event horizon stuff.
The reason I think this is because the I can do some odd things with life being that low. For example, a fast switch to the vampiric weapon and back to a normal weapon very quickly will make the life bar drain but not all the way. Then it regens almost instantly, so it looks like a slide whistle if I hit F1 F2 F1 F2.
What does everyone else think?

Good guess! I didn't think of that either... but the problem would still remain. Say you drop a lvl 1 fertile season. That's still +50hp, so then maybe with a vamp weapon and infuse health. Wait, no (typing out loud here)... 51hp, sac half and that's 25~26. Vamp weapon @ -1~3 still would give the healers enough time to heal.

You are thinking outside the box here though... and that's what it took me (and half an hour of trying to figure out a solution to this!).

Fertile Season will definately defeat his suicide build. Since he is R/Mo, he has no self sacrifice spells except infuse health. Just keep healing breeze on him.

at level 13 you'd have 340hp. minus 5 sup runes (-375) will put you at 1hp, although your actual health is -35. You could cop to remove enchants, and then swap to a vamp weapon and the -50 cesta. you would be at -85hp (1hp), and the vamp -1 regen would kill you.
After the first time, you have DP, so you are really getting into the negative hp.
You never told us how strong the fertile season was (or if there was one). If a ranger dropped a +370hp season you wouldn't be able to pull this off, but any season < 85hp wouldnt have an effect.
Another way to beat this, one member of the party can sac themselves, and another bring up a well of blood or power

Just a question thought... Are you moving at all ?
Becaus if yes, you could always get out of fertile's season range in time to die from the vamp mod.

Well done, Dazzen! That's how I did it. I had dodge and storm chaser with me, and when they threw that up I booked it outta there. Never saw a monster, but when I was outside the range it was instadeath.
@myswheels - you're correct too with the build, but there were 2 other posts before yours saying the exact same thing.

Interesting idea, MSecorsky! I wonder if it would slow the char down enough. Isn't it a 25% reduction in movement? And stormchaser gives 25%, so they'd cancel out. I wonder if someone can outrun the area in 15 seconds...
